ROCK PORT, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist over the weekend.

The Patrol says 25-year-old Tomas McCrery, of Easton, was driving a 2015 Chevy pick-up truck southbound on I-29, two miles south of Rock Port, at 3:53 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say the truck struck the back of a 2014 Harley Davidson, being driven by 39-year-old Douglas Collins, of St. Joseph. Collins was taken to Fairfax Hospital, and then taken to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha by Life-Net.

McCrery was arrested nearly two hours later in Holt County. McCrery has been charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and careless and imprudent driving causing an accident.
